Do you share the house with a cat/bird/critter? I share the house with Snickers the cat

Do you have a doggie girlfriend/boyfriend? Yes, I have a girlfriend, Sophie. She is a golden retriever and we met at several of Jesse’s baseball games. She is just a few months older than me.
How would you spend your ideal day? My ideal day would consist of playing fetch, wrestling with Sophie and then napping in the living room chair.
Who are your best friends? Snickers the cat is my best friend, but anyone that will play fetch with me could be my best friend also.
Do you know any tricks? I shake with both paws. I can also escape my kennel if they do not lock it tight.

When is your birthday? 2/24/06, the day my moms adopted me from the Humane Society. I was a stray. Already about a year old, I was so scrawny that I had to stay “downstairs” for a month to put on some weight. I was only 11 lbs when I was adopted, but worked my way up to the big 18-pounder I am today.
Who are your human family members? Judy Nelson and Colleen Devine
Do you share the house with a cat/bird/critter? Not on purpose. Last year we had a squirrel in the attic.

Do you have a doggie girlfriend/boyfriend? It’s going to be Bucky Adelmann, but he doesn’t know that yet.
How would you spend your ideal day? Snoozin’ on the couch with Judy after having some training fun with Colleen.
Who are your best friends? Aunt Nanny, Aunt Susan, and Bucky Adelmann (but Bucky doesn’t know that yet).
What is one thing most people don’t know about you? I’m getting to be a bit of a “clothes horse”.

Penelope and Oliver are 2 year old littermates that were surrendered to us because there was a new baby in the family and the owner could not provide them the attention they needed. They are both beautiful cats that are very friendly and love attention. Oliver is more outgoing and laidback. Penelope is a bit more timid and unsure of new situations, but she follows her brother's lead and warms up pretty quickly. Because these two are so closely bonded, we are requiring they be adopted together. We often find them curled up in a round ball together in the shape of the yin/yang symbol--very cute!! Paws Inn Resort helps foster cats that are in need of socialization, medications, or whatever we can do to help out homeless kitties like Penelope and Oliver. You may find different cats here when you stop by...take time to say hi! They love the attention!

Did you know that kids can train too as early as 3 years old?
We recommend that you have each command such as sit, down, come, etc established before bringing in the kids to "help". Once the command is understood, show the child how you perform each command and to say the command only once. We recommend the parents have the clicker while the child is doing the command. It's easier and that way you as the parents/adult can "hit" the action with the clicker when it happens without any delay. It is obviously too much for the child to work the clicker, say the command, and hold the treat.
We are looking at incorporating a kids and dogs class here at Paws Inn Resort, but would like to make sure we have the interest in a class like this. If you would be interested in having your kids work with your dog(s), please call us at 952-353-8006 or email us at pawsinnresort@frontiernet.net to let us know. We will keep you all posted with the verdict and when we can incorporate this class into our training schedule.
